Reactions to the word “Economy” is as individualized as each person is. When asked, many just said, “it sucks” or made a face; a few girls shook their head and looked about to cry. One guy turned red-faced in anger about the economy and yet politely said, “I don’t want to accidentally break your cute little camera.”
So while the economy is rocky, Woodland continues to grow due to the creativity, innovation and inspiration of the people that live here. But the general consensus of the Lucia, Marlene, and Raymond, people in the interview is you need more education than high school, need to be willing to transfer out of the area if necessary, and must be creative and flexible during the tough times ahead.
