The CSUS intersection near the old bookstore which is a three-way traffic stop with pedestrian traffic moving between the parking for Faculty; Language, Speech & Hearing Center; Disabled; and Motorcycles. CSUS and the Police Department monitor the parking and intersection especially during the beginning of semesters is very busy.
This video was filmed 9/8/08 at approximately 3:35pm for 30 minutes. The only editing was to remove blank spots. Note: Only 1 person during that time used the caution button, which activates the flashing red light over the stop sign and the audible warning, “Use caution when crossing, vehicles may not stop”.
One fellow observer that asked to remain anonymous stated, “While they (CSUS Parking patrol) tried to monitor the intersection, we as students and faculty have the right to notify the campus police to ask for their presence or to report an offender.”
The top video I was hidden by the tree, four totally ran through the sign without stopping or slowing. Twenty-nine performed California stops, rolling stops into the street then kept going. Twenty-eight came to complete stops. One pulled into the intersection and stopped to unload a passenger, causing traffic to go around the car.
For the bottom video I was facing the stop sign in a orange shirt and the results noticeably different.

Interesting and good topic. And good research to discover there is history about this intersection.
Now try to approach the story as a news story.
It looks like few of the cars stopped for the stop sign. Is this accurate or was it the direction of the camera?
Shorten the video to under three minutes and write a story about cars not stopping (if that is what it shows), asking some people questions who are going to cross there.

The first video was filmed using a tripod, next to a tree on back left side of cars, so drivers were not aware of being "observed".
Second video was also filmed using a tripod but was visible from their approach, in addition, I was wearing an orange top so drivers behaviors were quite different.
